Burberry: Furniture for stores worldwide

For:                      Benchmark

Designer:            Burberry

Materials:           Timber, upholstery, bronze and black chrome metal

About:

I worked on the initial prototyping of the new furniture for Burberry’s flagship store on Regent Street. This involved designs for chairs, sofas, stools, ottomans and coffee tables and we worked closely with Burberry and our upholsterers to meet the exacting standards of this high end fashion brand. Shortly after the successful delivery of the furniture to Regent Street, Benchmark were commissioned to supply the furniture for Knightsbridge and Mayfair stores and I became primary ‘account manager’ for what went on to become Benchmark’s largest client at the time, supplying furniture to stores around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordination of design development and prototyping, project management, procurement, production of manufacture information, working with sub-contractors and makers, developing internal processes to efficiently react to order requests as they came in from the various Burberry teams around the world, handling international shipping.
