I was brought onboard by Benchmark to help realise the vision of Foster + Partners for the furniture in Gabriela Hearst’s new London showrooms in Mayfair and Harrods. The designs, initially abstract, demanded a certain degree of flexible thinking and determination to find a way of making drawers apparently float, leather work to be crafted to perfection and timber to be finished with an incredible degree of precision.
The project involved designs for hanging rails, display drawers, coffee tables and shelving.

Design resolution, project management, procurement, production of manufacture information, working with sub-contractors and makers.
